I ported an implementation of Dumas' UUE/UUD from the Atari ST to the //gs (real simple port, but...). I've used it a few times, so I know it works under normal conditions, but I'd like to have some other people use it before I send it out on comp.binaries.apple2. Please send mail to me here (see .sig for address) if you're interested. You must have a shell available to you to use UUE/D. Also, if there's anybody out there who's interested in beta testing whatever software toys I come up with at some point in the future, send me a letter (I'd like to build a pool of people to send stuff to for testing purposes). If you're wondering why I bothered porting it to the //gs, given that uue/d exists on the unix machines (duh :) and that BinSCII exists for all the ]['s - I can't get a binary image from the school's system to here, so I need to send the text, and I don't always get stuff specifically for the Apple system. Also, it's useful for the reverse process (although I haven't used it that way yet). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jason Blochowiak (blochowi@garfield.cs.wisc.edu) "Not your average iconoclast..." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
