If you boot the machine from a local disk, can it see _anything_ on your network, like printers? This will help you determine whether you have a break in the cabling. Can _other_ workstations find the server at that time? >3) A 512K GS is powered-up and booted off the network, all is well. > If you do a Ctrl-Apple-Reset or cycle the power quickly, it gets > to the ProDOS loader screen and then spews garbage on the screen. > Going to the Control Panel, it says it only has 384K. When you do the Apple-Ctrl-Reset, be sure to KEEP the Apple key down after releasing either Ctrl or Reset (or both), until you see that the machine has indeed started to reboot (you'll see "Apple IIgs" or whatever at the top of the screen). This advice goes for all other Apple II models, too (er...except that you shoul expect to see a different machine name at the top of the screen). >UUCP: att!mtune!rkh Internet: rkh@mtune.ATT.COM >USPS: 17 Lakeland Dr, Port Monmouth NJ 07758 DDD: 201-495-6621 eve ET --David A.
