[comp.sys.apple] FSTand GS/OS size

errr...

I am already questioning why GS/OS is so huge, filling an entire 800K disk for
what I had originally though was just a 16 bit version of good'ol prodos8
amounting to 32K or so.

Whatever, there is 600+K of stuff on the system.disk.
Would FST's only make this BIGGER? Requiring a hard drive to function or 1.2 meg
floppies that don't exist yet for the Apple // anyway?

and where are these FST's anyway? Any realese date? or are they the great
vaporware of the month?

Cynicism.

A lot of stuff on Apple's GS/OS distribution disk is not necessary for
many applications. In fact several commercial products have come out that
use GS/OS with both the OS and the application on a single 3.5" disk.
