I'd like to add my voice to those longing for the end of the perpetual diatribe on the demise of the Apple II. I've had my 2e since '81 and have no plans to get rid of it, even though I covet a IIgs, Mac IIcx, NeXT, AND a PS/2, model 80. I subscribed to this list because I wanted to learn more about the II. And thanks to many of the contributors here: David, Andy, Jeff, Scott, Matt, Murph, and numerous others, I HAVE learned a lot. But the constant inundation of my mailbox with bitch, bitch, bitch has made me consider of late whether or not to continue my subscription. Maybe someone should start a "Complain-Apple" list so we can get back to using our machines, instead of moaning and wringing our hands over unsubstantiated rumors.
