Some more questions for you experts: Is it possible to convert an old ][ program to use ProDOS? (Something like patching the calls to DOS?) In general, I would like to be able to move things to the 3.5" drive and run exclusively from there. What's a good assembler for the beasty? I would like a reasonable editor, ability (or information on how) to create sys files. What's a good source of information on things like disk layout (for both ProDOS and DOS 3.?) and file formats, and generally all the nitty gritties. Is there a comp.binaries.apple2 archive? Where? There are probably other questions. What I want is to be able to get started writing some programs, while spending as little money as possible (doing things myself), and staying on the 3.5" disk as much as possible (they're more pleasant to use).
