According to an Electronic Arts spokesman on Compuserve (the game vendors forum), they will be phasing out support for the //e, but still plan on porting some of their games to the GS. Speed (or lack thereof) was cited as one reason for limiting the selection of games ported to the GS. They do not plan to cut GS support entirely. They will not be developing new games with the GS as the primary machine (with possible a few exceptions). He stated that IBM PC's and their clones are the dominant market, and therefore that is the primary market they aim for.

WHAT!!! HOW CAN THEY DO THAT!!! WHAT ABOUT ALL THE LOYAL APPLE USERS OUT THERE!!!! Bid deal, so we run a little slower, I don't see it in DEATH SWORD, or in DESTROYER, TEST DRIVE, WINGS OF FURY... Maybe if they wrote their code more compact.... Also, it was the same speed all the time, so what if their are faster computers. SKYFOX was good, not to mention ARCHON, on the Apple. Who do they think their kidding?!?! highly annoyed, Marc Rovner MROVNER@SBCCVM
