Let me be more specific as to what I want. I want to transfer GIF format files from // to MAC. I don't have null modem cables or a 3.5 drive (I could borrow one). I want to transfer through an IBM mainframe (is this possible or should I use UNIX, since it would eliminate the hassle of Ebcidic and ASCII?) and down to a MAC. Thanks for all the comments so far. I'm going to try a few of the ones my hardware can handle. +------------------------------------------------+ | Brian Glaeske NU133716@NDSUVM1 (bitnet) | | NU133716@vm1.NoDak.edu (internet | +--------------------------------------------------+

It should be possible to pack the II pix with SHR Conv and upload them to the UNIX machine then download them onto the Mac and convert them with a pgm for the that machine. I've seen GIFFER for the Mac but it only works on the Mac II. Michael Steele mikes@ncsuvx.ncsu.edu -- Michael Steele mikes@ncsuvx.ncsu.edu mikes@ncsuctix.ncsuvx.ncsu.edu netoprms@ncsuvm.bitnet
