I admit, I don't know very much about the actual hardware of the II (but that will soon change). I have one question though: Has anyone heard of the Tandy Color Computer III? I'd just like to point out that the Coco III has a priority based multitasking operating system out for it right now. Now, if a Coco III can multitask, why can't an Apple II? I believe they are both based on the 6502. I can't remember though, the Coco III might have the 6809 or something else. But anyway, it is an 8 bit, it doesn't have an MMU and it can't support the kind of memory an Apple II can (I believe it is limited to 512K. I've got friends that have 2+ megs in their Apple IIe's). The operating system is called OS-9 (it was out long before OS-2 for the IBM) and it does a nice job. I actually got to play with it. I am a first year EE major so I'm not an expert (yet), but I do think it can be done. Collin Douglas
