[comp.sys.apple] II sudden death??

neilhncc1701d@pro-cyon.UUCP (Neil Haldar) (04/05/89)

     Okay, here I go.

Why would Apple drop the II?? As I have read from various other folks,
the Apple II line is what got Apple going. Why would they want to drop it?
Sure, they've had their bad points, and some versions of the II have not been
all that great...
Look at other users whose computer has been dropped. (PCjr dropped?... I
forget now) They bitched and griped at first, but after all that, they picked
themselves up and supported themselves. That's what we need to do. All of us.
Stop shouting "Make the switch to Mac or MS-DOS" and instead say "it's no
biggie. We can support ourselves". I don't just mean software, but perhaps new
hardware, too. If Apple DOES drop the II, we'll at least be prepared...

Sorry, folks, but I just heard (again) about the IIgs clone that's
supposed to come out... someone remind me that it's VAPORWARE!!
                                                                Neil

DISCLAIMER: Everything I post here is so amazingly bizarre that it simply
              _HAS_ to be my opinion.
