Apple simply isn't going after this market with the GS. If you want raw speed for many tasks, there are other machines with more bang for the buck (typically PClones). If you want Unix, you'll probably have trouble finding systems with more power than a V7 clone, much less something commercially supported. I have trouble imaging people wanting Unix with its traditionally impoverished user interface on a whiz-bank graphically oriented machine. Don't let me completely discourage you, though. If you already have a GS, then go ahead and make the best of it. I'm still trying to find time to port pieces of UZI and MINIX to my //e system. -- - Ralph W.
