I was wondering whether anyone here on the net would have any interest
in a ProDOS8 utility program that I've recently released as shareware. It's
aprox. 33K machine language SYS file that is designed for browsing through
any ProDOS file, and allows scrolling up or down, string searches, printing
all or part of a file to disk or printer; it can display any file in
Hex/ASCII, or display AWP files, or text files with any end-of-line chr (thus
making it very easy to view Unix and MS-DOS format text files), and much more.
When printing to disk, you can change the end-of-line characters, so you can
actually use this utility to translate Unix files to ProDOS, for example.
I use the program alot for scrolling thru all the captures of my terminal
sessions with various information systems.
The file is LIST.BQY, and is currently available on GEnie (A2 and
A2PRO), and CompuServe, as well as on Pro-Carolina and Pro-Sol, and soon to be
on BIX. If someone would advise me on whom to send my program to so that it
could be available to those of you on the net, I'd be happy to do so - just
send instructions.
I plan to keep refining my program, and hopefully come out with a //GS
CDA version, as well as a version to run under APW. I look forward to
comments and suggestions from people!
