re: roms and eproms. Eproms have a somewhat different pin out than do roms. (bs) If you are going to place Eproms on the motherboard of a II+, then you need to patch one pin to another, and bend one of the pins upwards. I dont remember what the exact steps were, nor will I ever remember. Also, If you have a integer basic card, you can junk the integer roms, soldier the nice pad on the card, and insert eproms directly into the card without any messy patches on the eprom. Any hardware book will show the details. Re: E2Proms -> Technology and its wonder...Thats why my laserwriter crashes every couple years, its got a xxxx EEprom on board. Best to buy a new battery, than the whole logic board. Intel may have something worth using(price wise and higher write times), after its "flash". I realize the above says nothing, but its enough. As for copying ROMS for yourself; depends on whos watching you. srh
