OK, for those of you having trouble with Z-Link: I have located a real bug. Z-Link can't be launched if it's sitting in the outer-most directory. If you're having problems running Z-Link, then put it in a sub-dir. Also, be sure that configuration file made by previous versions are not loaded (ie, be sure that any config files you have are produced by the current version). I've been tweaking the vt100 emulation, and I've killed a couple of bugs there. Namely, 80 character lines were a problem, and "erase the whole screen" didn't work right if there was a scrolling region defined. I want to be sure everything is OK before I post. I'll post a new version Saturday night. Dave Whitney A junior in Computer Science at MIT dcw@athena.mit.edu ...!bloom-beacon!athena.mit.edu!dcw dcw@goldilocks.mit.edu I wrote Z-Link & BinSCII. Send me bug reports. I use a //GS. Send me Tech Info. "This is MIT. Collect and 3rd party calls will not be accepted at this number."

Dave, I have tried to send you mail, but since I have been unable to get
any reliable path between us to work, I am going to try posting this as well.
Anyway, I am anxious to try out the new version. I definate am unable
to run zlink after I run TIC now; this was not the case before. I
also am unable to run zlink with a zlink created config file in the directory
- a new config file, not an old one.
I am using a IIgs, Prodos 7 version 1.7 (August 1988), and have 1.75 meg
of memory, most of which dedicated to a ram5 disk. I am trying to launch
from ECP8. If I do an initial launch after cold boot I can sometimes get
things working; if I launch from davex I can sometimes get things to work.
Typical failures are empty screens and no OA command functions working ,
strange menus of numbers, or weird OA-w menus.
