I should have known better, but it was a double feature at a place that never has them. Beware of "Sweater Girls" and "[Going?] All the Way" The first could have been a good movie--girls get upset at their boyfriends in the 1950's and form a club--the Sweater Girls. Not as bad as "The Dorm That Dripped Blood" but bad enough to be listed as the second worst movie I've seen. [No, I haven't seen plan 9] After the first half-hour, Chris asked me how much longer every five minutes or so. Only reason to go to this one is to watch for the low budget anachronisms--recent Pabst labels on the beer bottles in the wooden case, aluminum beer cans, etc. One word summary: Awful. rating on any scale: one. This looks like a film where they ran out of money and didn't finish filming, just released. Finally, the acting in this would have got a "D" at best in my acting for non-majors course. "All the Way" was a little worse than your typical sexploitation flick with a love story tied in, although the acting was much better than usually found. Yes, it has the obligatory scene of the girls in the shower. Don't bother. 3 out of 10. Again, it is a very low budget film, and has a couple of subplots that aren't concluded. I think this one also ran out of money and didn't want to go overbudget. [Racket thrown at wall--all three of us noticed that it was broken before it hit!] The film that these were on was damaged to a greater degree than the typical twenty year old prints that school districts have. Seriously. We griped to the manager and he said that we shouldn't complained because it was a bigger problem for their equipment than it was for us poor shmucks who paid to see it. In conclusion, these films were more insulting than the commercials that this theater has been playing. -- rick (Rick Hawkins @ Olivetti ATC) [hplabs|zehntel|fortune|ios|tolerant|allegra|tymix]!oliveb!oliven!hawk
