[comp.sys.apple] - - - H E L P -> MY ][e JUST STOPS DEAD ... !!!

I'm hoping that someone has encountered this problem. I have asked
Apple trained technicians and others (AE), but this still haunts me ...

HERE'S MY PROBLEM ...

I have a ][e enhanced here at work. Sometimes it will just quit, I
don't mean freeze or lock up, I mean it actually TURNS OFF BY ITSELF!!

It WILL LOCK up too, causing me to have to reboot (losing any unsaved
  work.

Here is a little history - - -> The first time it acted weird it
would beep and crash with really weird stuff all over the screen.
After a while that stopped and it would just turn off by itself. I
asked around (not the net, though, I should have) and was told by some
that my power supply was overloaded after I told them I had ...

Fingerprint + card in slot 1
	No Slot Clock
	Mouse card in slot 4
Sider ][ card in slot 5
Ramfactor (1 Meg) in slot 7 (with Ramcharger attached always)
Regular 2 floppy drive card in slot 6
	Kensington System Saver (fan)

I talked to someone else that said they didn't think I was overloading
the 2.5 amp supply since the Ramfactor had its own power from
Ramcharger but that I should clean the card contacts, which I did. I
then did not have any problem for several weeks.

I has started happening again. I have already cleaned the contacts
but it did not help. It has already quit again. I even removed the
Sider ][ interface card and it quit once. As of this moment it has
stayed on for about 3 hours (with the Sider card out).

Another interesting thing ... once in desperation I rapped this ][e
just over the power supply and it came back on (rebooting, of course).
This is too drastic and not an acceptable method of repair, since once
I knocked the Ramfactor card coo-coo (I had to reformat it and load
again the software I keep on it).

This is really a nice system. It is faster that a Macintosh (Booting
is about 3 seconds, AW loading is about 8 seconds (with several TimeOut
applications). The "always on" Ramfactor is a JOY TO USE.

I JUST CANNOT LIVE WITH THESE BLACKOUTS ... !!!

Please respond by Email (preferred, since this probably will not be
worthy of distribution), or just post and I'll hope to catch it as it
goes by (our news handler PURGES OUR NEWS EVERY OTHER DAY whether
  we've read it or not !!! )

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP.
