I remember the MacWeek incident, when MacWeek wrote a long thingy about the demise of the Apple //, and the next week the column on the last page had a thingy about a few Apple // people at Apple who called up MacWeek and told them they were all wet and that they were hard at work rewriting the tools and such. That must have been system 5.0. Wow! It's gonna drive me nuts waiting for its release. I've got a tad more good-will for Apple, but sometimes I hate that vaporware policy. I'd have felt better about life if I had known this was going on over there. jeremy mereness ============= jm7e+@andrew.cmu.edu (Arpanet) r746jm7e@CMCCVB (vax.... Bitnet)

Does anyone have any idea how this new System Disk update will be handled? I got my GS with 4.0, so I don't know Apple's policy. I would assume that therewould be a small ugrading fee, but considering ROM 1.0 was given out free, I'm not sure. Any ideas? Ken. krb20699@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu
