[comp.sys.apple] AMR Hard Drives

shatara@memit.dec.com (05/09/89)

Does anyone have any experience with the AMR SCSI hard drives on an IIgs
or IIe? My understanding is that they come with their own SCSI interface
card. How compatible is this card to Apple's?

The prices seem attractive so any advice would be helpful.

I'm interested in the answer to this question as well, only a little
broader. I am trying to compare this drive with the Sider's (almost)"SCSI"
the Applied Ingenuity's inner drive and their SCSI. They all have their
advantages and disadvantages. The biggest concern is that I spend big
bucks only to find that it's "almost" Apple SCSI and when they change
things I get nailed.
One other concern is that I be able to use the RAM resident "speed up" s/w
that seems to be getting perfected around.
