I hope I didn't post this more than once! (I'm new to Info-Apple and am
having a few problems! :-{)
I have a puzzling problem I would appreciate some help with. I recently
purchased Tulin Corporation's Apple // 60 MB hard disk drive kit. It came
with a Seagate ST277N, Apple SCSI Interface Card, A-hive enclosure, Ext.SCSI
cable, and a power cord (for a grand total of $768 preassembled). Anyway, I
have low-level formatted the drive with HD Format with a variety of inter-
leaves (1,3,6,11,20,etc) and then high-level format it with the System 4.0's
finder. The thing is, I always get the same result with DiskTimerGS:
READ = 93
SEEK = 89
ADAPTER = 52
However, according to A+ and some other sources, the timimgs are supposed
to be closer to 53, 44, and 52, respectively. I can't seem to figure it out!
Maybe HD Format is not working right, but I haven't run into anyone who had
any problems with the actual program (My buddy also bought the same package
as I did, but also got the same results as myself, so I know there's not
a defect in my HD).
The HD is in slot seven (by the way, I have a GS), and the CP is set to
SCAN. I have 1 MB additional memory. Help!!!
