I have not really seen it advertised at any movie theatre in Los Angeles. It was a really enjoyable film. It is based on the true story of "Phar Lap", one of Australian's greatest race horses that mysteriously died when he was brought over to the United States to race. If you enjoyed watching "The Black Stallion" then you will definitely enjoy this film. There were scenes where the audience cheered and the slow motion photography (which the Aussies use often) was good. Character development was good and everything didn't center around the horse. Also the handling of the horse's death was done well. It wasn't a long drawn out scene and you didn't leave the theatre feeling really depressed, just sad that the horse had become a pawn in the politics and greed of racing. This is definitely a good film for everyone to see, whether you are a horse lover or not. Marty Stewart (Interactive Systems)
