Many folks have been very kind and sent me hints, advice, and info on how to get our newly-acquired II+ up and running. You may recall that it did not run binary programs. The principal reason is that one of the 4116, 16K memory chips was MISSING -- just plain gone! I replaced it tonight and, voila, things began to run. Yes, I still need a 16K RAM card and an 80 col card; will probably also get the lower case mod cuz Gracie wants to get Bank Street Writer for it so her pupils can do some "word processing." I may take one or two of you up on your offers to lay some inexpensive, used parts on me. I thought you'd appreciate the update; keep those cards and letters comin' in! Thanks, _Brint
