My problem is solved. It was a conflict between the XOFF code (ascii 19)
and the block number sent as an ascii char. When Unix sent "Block 19 next"
it sent an XOFF. This caused the server to go to never-never land until my
side sent an XON code. Which it doesn't.
I haven't been able to shut off the network's flowcontrol yet, so I'm
getting experienced with Kermit. It works. At least, it should if my site
would get a working version of Kermit up. I dream on...{=
