Last week I posted SnowTerm version 1.00 to comp.binaries.apple2. Our UNIX node has been up and down a lot lately and I was wondering if anyone out there got SnowTerm. SnowTerm is a new VT100 emulator for the IIGS. It runs in SHR graphics mode and does a fairly complete job of emulating the VT100. It does bold, blink, underline, and reverse character attributes, double wide and double high characters, and the special graphics character set. If anyone has received SnowTerm and tried it, I would be interested in your feedback about the program. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- John F. I'm very interested in SnowTerm, specifically the graphics capabilities for Vt-100 emulation. There's only one major problem, I own an internal modem in this beast. The problem being that SCCs are a bit different than RS-232. A bit. The only other problem I could possibly have is protocol capabilities. I don't really need macros, but I need kermit or Xmodem, preferrably Kermit or both. I don't mean to demand you to do it, but that's my major concern. I'd really like SnowTerm otherwise, and would quite probably pay a shareware fee, regardless of (a reasonable) amount. FreeTerm never followed up on internal modems, so I've always been text-based. I would have DLed it if it weren't for the SCC limitation. I, for one, am definately interested. Ken. krb20699@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu

TO KEN... ABOUT SNOWTERM.. You might give GSVT a try. I d/loaded SnowTerm too and as you stated might even pay the shareware fee if it had d/load capabilities. GSVT is on AppleLink and is a graphics term program and it does very well. The only drawback is that you can only do xmodem. Robert Brown ALPE:ROBPHD BITNET: RXBROWN@UALR I.B.M = I've been Mugged!
