Well it seems that TML has gotten around to rewriting TML Pascal, as promised, when ProDOS 16 v2.0 finally came out. Well sort of... - Complete support for GS/OS and System Software v5.0 [See Matt, they don't get the two confused] - Integrated resource editor "The resource editor enables programmers to graphically define the menus, windows, dialogs, icons, etc. which are so important to creating an Apple IIGS application. No longer is it necessary to create cryptic menu strings or window templates. Now,you simply point and click. [The pictures of all this stuff look neat-o keen]" - Enhanced editor o Significantly faster o Number of open windows limited only by available memory o Full suport of Undo editing o Complete user control of font and font sizes for source code o Open files NOT limited to 32K bytes o Easier to use Find and Replace dialogs o more... - New Apple Toolbox standardized interfaces for GS/OS v5.0 - New manual with complete indexing of Toolbox interfaces. [Lets hope the index isn't 2 page numbers off] - Faster compilations [The 65816 is a dream to write compilers for unlike those nasty inefficient 68000s, no matter what all those Claris employees think.] - Improved code generation [Read note above] - Creates IIGS Applications, NDAs and CDAs. - New example programs It seems they significantly improved TML Pascal, however one noticable abscence is that of any form of debugger. - Mark Cromwell
