This is my first ever posting (how many times have you heard that). I recently downloaded a program called ApplePAD for Apple Plato Access Disk that give me Plato emulation for hooking up to a CDC Cyber computer running the Plato environment. The program was designed for the Apple 2e and below with their hires graphics and color schemes in mind. It works fine on my GS but it strains the eyes pretty fast because of the resolution the character sets are defined in (4x6 character size). So, does anyone out there now of an upgraded version that is specifically for the GS? Or maybe has someone modified the ApplePAD to take advantage of the GS's higher resolution and better color scheme? The ApplePAD was written by Steve Peltz at CERL and modified later to work with the GS's modem port. The program is public domain. It does what it was designed to do which is let me access a Cyber computer running Plato. I'm just hoping that someone has upgraded it to work the GS's higher resolution. Any and all replies are appreciated. I have a copy in Shrinkit form if anyone is interested. Maybe even post it to the board. Who knows.
