[comp.sys.apple] Apple Fiesta

I didn't see any info about the Apple Fiesta on the net, so I thought
I would add some. InCider readers may recall an announcement article about it.
It occurred last weekend (June 2-4) in Scottsdale AZ. It was sponsored by
the local Apple user's group.

I would say about that there were a couple dozen vendor booths dealing both
Apple II and Mac stuff. There were lots of seminars, but I only attended
one day, and only one seminar (about Stone Edge's Database program).

Applied engineering was demo-ing their Sonic Blaster. And they were taking
names and addresses for people who wanted info about their "live long and
prosper" Vulcan disk drive when it becomes available. Also taking names for
a new card which appears to be a combo of Sonic Blaster and MIDI.

Roger Wagner publishing highlighted its Hyperstudio to people who were
impressed by it. They had a laser disc, and the Apple video overlay card
and were doing interesting with their product.

Beagle Brothers were there and brought along new products. In particular,
they had the GS Font Editor. I bought a copy. Interestingly, it runs on
GS's and //e's and //c's using the double hi-res screen rather than the GS
SHR. But it looks just like the GS WIMP interface. On the control panel I had
to toggle the Color/mono setting to mono, to get the correct display.

Other Apple II vendors present that I recall: Chinook, Checkmate, Zip Chip, So What
