Does anyone have information regarding availability of 'Hyper-C'. I have seen one or two messages regarding the package on 'infoapple', but don't have a clue as to what it is, where it is, etc... John Withers <johnw@pro-carolina> /* Insert usual disclaimers here */

The Hyper-C that is available runs under it's own operating system, and is available from apple anonymous ftp locations. I would hazard a guess, though, that you can't ftp on a proline site, someone will have to mail you a copy (I'd do it, but I have no clue how to mail to a proline site, maybe I shoulda been paying attention to all those messages...) There is also a Prodos version of Hyper-C. The problem: It's copyrighted (i.e. not shareware like the other version) and the company that made it has gone bankrupt. There was talk here a while ago about possibly finding the authors (or whoever owns the copywrite) and asking them to release it into the public domain. This seems to have died down since the enthusiam over hyper c has wained. Ok, since it is doubtful that Hyper-C is going to be freeware soon, does anybody want to offer to sell me their copy of the Prodos version? If you ain't usinging it, you could at least make back a few (very few, I'm a poor student, you understand) dollars. WARNING!! the opinions expressed above can be HAZARDOUS or FATAL if swallowed! It has been several months now since side one was posted and there was some sort of porblem that was preventing side two from making an appearance. Does anyone either have side two or know when it will be available? Thanks in advance. -- Larry Colton {att, bellcore, sun, ames, pyramid}!pacbell!ldcol

I realize that, and I assure you that it WILL be posted this weekend The reason for the delay was that I blew the IWM (disk) controller chip in my //c and had no way to do anything with my apple stuff... I just got it back today so I'll be able to send Hyper.C side off this weekend. Chris +----------------------------------+ +----------------------------------+ ! Christopher Lau ! !
