[comp.sys.apple] Apple IIe Power Supply

SAC.57LGX@E.ISI.EDU (06/17/89)

I will be PCSing to Germany in November and am looking for a power
supply that will run on 50Hz. Does anyone have any suggestions that
would save me the expense of buying a European-spec Apple?

You whould be able to use a power transformer (at least a 100watt transformer)
to power your IIe and probably a printer (at leazst an epson printer).
When I was in Germany, i bought a European spec apple II+, and I am running
it on a step up transformter (110 to 220v) right now, and have been for
about 3 or 4 years. works great. The folks I knew with american aples
in Germany just used the normal steop down transformer. You shouldn't have
any trouble at all. (BTW, Stuttgart PX had some apple stuff, and so did
one or two other PX's, but software is HARD to come by. Find a reliable
mailorder house and stick with them.)
