[comp.sys.apple] Subscriptions in Brint's absence

SEWALL@UCONNVM.BITNET (Murph Sewall) (06/20/89)

>By the way, this couldn't have come at a worse time, with Brint Cooper
>on vacation. Does anyone know whether or not any maintenance is being
>done to info-apple while he's gone? I'm not sure that a "UNSUBSCRIBE (netwide

1) Yes (I know :) - NO maintanence (that is, no subscribes or unsubscribes
other than those bouncing mail) until mid-July (means you'll need to
get Dave Lyons or someone else on Apple.COM to pass you copies of
info-apple mail for a few weeks).

2) Brint's absence HOWEVER!! has NO EFFECT ON BITNET SUBSCRIPTIONS (or
unsubscriptions for that matter) because those are handled by the LISTSERV
at NDSUVM1. UNSUB * (NETWIDE should take care of any bounced mail (there
could be some mail in the pipeline that will bounce, but those will be
pointed at the LISTSERV not a 'brl').

we have netnews here at Apple, so I will pick up on Info-apple without a hitch.
Thanks Murph for the news on info-app...I had almost forgotten. I have
now ended service on everything I subscribe to on bitnet.
