A couple of weeks ago, a friend's GS battery died. He took it to an Apple
dealer to have it replaced only to be shocked that it cost him just over $60
to get it done. I knew that I have read of a cheaper alternative on the
Washington Apple Pi TCS some time ago, and had copied the message for future
reference, but couldn't find it. Well, now A2Central has provided us with it.
A company called Nite Owl Productions sells a IIgs replacement battery for
$9.35 each. All you need do is clip off the old battery and slip the new ones
on the old leads. Seems pretty straight forward eh? And at less than 1/6th
the cost of doing it Apple's way (most alternatives to Apples way are much
less expensive it seems). So to hopefully save someone a few bucks... If you
