I've been have an odd problem with the sound on my //GS. Every time I run a pre-written package, or write software of my own that takes advantage of the Ensoniq chip, in any way, the sound changes to a clicking noise. My system consists of: //GS with 256k motherboard Version 01 ROM (new) 2MB expanded memory 3.5", MDIdeas Stereo Card PC Transporter (768k - in addition to the 2MB) 2MB Seagate HD I've tried running various programs with different configurations of cards installed - and with none. But the problem STILL persists! Any ideas? -Karsten UUCP: {amdahl!bungia, uunet!rosevax, chinet, killer}!orbit!pnet51!nevar ARPA: crash!orbit!pnet51!nevar@nosc.mil INET: nevar@pnet51.cts.com E. (The Apple fan induces interference into the sound chip which will show up in your speaker(s).) Try disconnecting ANY type of fan you have and see of your problem goes away. :) Phil
