[comp.sys.apple] SnowTerm and SysDisk 5.0

jsnow@esunix.UUCP (John Snow) (07/28/89)

SnowTerm users:

SnowTerm version 1.04 is not completely compatible with System Disk 5.0. It
will run, but if you open up a dialog box or desk accessory, some of the text
from the terminal window shows through the dialog box.

This problem has been fixed and a new version of SnowTerm will be posted soon.

For your information, the revisions to SnowTerm since v1.04 are:

V1.05: Significant speed improvements made to the drawing and scrolling
routines in SnowTerm. These improvements, which have nothing to do with system
disk 5.0, increase the overall speed of scrolling and putting text on the screen
at least 50%. If you thought SnowTerm was fast before, wait until you see it
now!

V1.06: This version is fully system disk 5.0 compatible.

V1.07: This version provides full support for new desk accessories. If a new
desk accessory is open on top of the terminal window, received characters will
be placed on the screen and the screen will scroll if necessary. Graphics speed
slows down considerably when something else is on top, but it works!

I will probably post V1.07 to comp.binaries.apple2 in 7-10 days.
