Quite a while ago, I got the original HyperC posting off of the net. It showed some promise, but was missing much. A promise was made that the utility disk was going to be posted... Sometime around June 23, I saw a posting from Mr. Lau stating that he would post the package over the weekend. I was on vacation the following week, and I never saw it in the postings I read after I got back to reading net news on July 5. Was it posted?? If so, could some kind soul e-mail me the new info? Many thanks in advance Joe Toth -- ------------------------------------------------+--------------------- Maybe I shouldn't have done it, sarcasm is so | Joseph G. Toth Jr. seldom understood. Don't FLAME on me, please. | uunet!tellab5!toth Well, all the stuff I promised would have been posted if not for some severe difficulties with my Apple: 1-> I brought my //c into the dealer for the serial port upgrade They did this for free, just swapped the motherboard. 2-> A week later, the machine died.. refused to boot or anything The disk wouldn't run, ctrl-reset wouldn't kick you into BASIC 3-> Brought it back to my dealer (AGAIN), he swapped the board on warranty. 4-> I brought it home, but now, the 80col. function doesn't work right.. I get two flickering dollar signs in the middle of the screen.. they seem to scroll with the rest of the screen (ie, they leave a track up the screen) and my software doesn't like to work... So, on Monday, I'm bringing it back to the dealer (YET AGAIN) and shout at him about his flakey motherboards Does someone at Apple have anything to say about this?? Over a period of about 2 months, I've had 2 NEW //c motherboards die on me... is this saying something about Apple's quality control?? or is my dealer just incompetent?? If this keeps up, I'm going to ask the dealer for $500 for my system and go get a Laser 128... I can't keep bringing my system in for repair every other week.. (I have to take time out from work to bring it in and to pick it up.. as the dealer is open 9-5 weekdays only and those are also my work hours.. and I don't think my boss would be too pleased if I keep this up) AARRGGHHH... So, in summary Joe and anyone else who's interested, you'll see the rest of Hyper C IF and only IF my dealer and Apple can get their acts together and give me a working system.... Chris
