I think I can help you here. There's a program just about everywhere that can help you with your LF->CR problems. It's called TEXTC, and if you have anonymous FTP, use it to get it from either PLAINS.NODAK.EDU, HUSC6.HARVARD.EDU or F.MS.UKY.EDU (I think that's the name). Or, if you have Bitnet mail, send a message to listserv@brownvm that looks like this: INDEX APPLE2-L and then, when you get the message back from brown that lists all available files for Apples, find TEXTC on the list, record the "file 'info'" (not sure what it's called, but it'll look like 89-02050. Then send to listserv@browvm GET APPLE2-L filenumber and you'll get it as a text file. From there, you can download to your Apple, use BinSCII or EXEC it (should be BinSCII) to get the .BNY file, unShrinkIt, and you've got a nifty (if poorly documented, poorly designed) program that strips control chars, and allows LF conversion.
