[comp.sys.apple] System 5.0, icons, and hard drives

Hi there,

        First of all, thanks to those who sent me advice after my last letter.
I've solved my font problem, simply be copying all my individual icons into a
single big applications.icons file with FondED.  Everything works fine now.
        However, I tried to back up my newly updated and improved hard disk
with First Class Peripherals' BACKUP software, and it said something like "Data
type not supported."  My guess is that it croaked when it saw the resource
forks on the new files.  Can anybody confirm this?  If there's no way to make
BACKUP work, is there a PD or shareware hard disk backup program out there
that'll work?
        That might be one thing Apple should have put on System 5.0.  Lots of
GS's out there have hard drives, especially as the system software slowly
increases in size.  A backup program on the utilities disk would be nice..
