Hi Netfolks, I would like some help concerning making my own hard drive for and Apple IIgs computer. I've read a lot about messages on the net about which drives can be used and etc. etc., but I have yet to see an actually useful (no offense) posting about how to go about building such a creature and how to connect it to the Apple. Also, what should we know about the Apple SCSI card before we do any of this? Another thing I've noticed is that the drive has to be fully powered before turning on the computer or it won't work, right? Why is that, and is there anyway to get around that? How about a canonical list of all compatible built-it-yourself or ready-made hard drives out on the market? How about using an IBM hard drive (like a MiniScribe or a Seagate) on the IIgs? Any help available on this? Jackson -- js7@cunixa.cc.columbia.edu
