I just finished teaching a summer clas for high-school students using Turbo Pascal 5.0 on IBM (yecchh) PS/2s. One of my students wanted to know if he could get Pascal for his IIe. I said I'd check. Since I am about 4 years out of touch with the Apple II world (being a Mac hack myself) I was hoping someone out there could supply info. Does Apple still sell the UCSD system? Are there any third party Pascal systems available? What is cost like? Any info would be appreciated. I do not read this board (I already have a couple of hours worth of netNews a day as it is) so please email to my account. You still can get the UCSD Pascal. It's up to Version 1.3. It will recognize RAMDISKS and 3.5" drives too. Another Pascal you might want to look at for a beginner is Intant Pascal. Lot like the mac's pascal (w/pull down menus etc), but it's slow. BTW Instant Pascal is completely prodos. It does not use the Apple Pascal operating system If you have a GS, take a look at ORCA. That's a nice one. aptc1%mkvax1@msus1.bitnet :Bill

Network Comment: to #4363 by obsolete!netnews.upenn.edu!eniac.seas.upenn.edu!hodas%rutgers.edu A company in California (San Francisco, I think) makes a package called 'Kyan Pascal'. I have the literature at home, but, as I recall, is sells for approximatly $70.00. I'll post more next week, if there are any changes from this. The latest issue of A2-Central (page 5.55) reports that Kyan Pascal is still available from Kyan Software.
