I realize that postine 'for sale' items to this discussion group
is a bit overloading of the system and a 'misuse'. I have made my
posting to this list and frankly find no fault with it. Over the years
I have purchased some very good items off this group. It's nothing new
to the list to see 'for sale' postings and why should it be? This is a
group of fine poeple who not only have great knowledge to offer, but
on occation a much needed item or two. Now, I understand your rulings
on the subject and I guess you are the major forces here so I won't
try to force the issue. I'm bad with names, so all I can remember is
Bob, I don't mean to point the finger directly at you Bob, I just read
the postings and sometimes forget the names.
I do not wish to say that this disscusion group is the proper
place to post 'for sale' listings. On the bitnet side we've got several
groups more suited, but I only know of the ones at Umnews@Maine. And
for the past three weeks, maybe more, the server has been having troubles.
This in essence means that Info-apple is the only place for me to reach
Apple computer users.
I've stated my side of the issue, I am not sorry for my posting, nor
do I belive that I have committed any wrong by posting this response or
the posting of my 'for sale' msg. I hope this does not turn into a
widespread disscussion, that could be far worse to this group's excessive
message flow than a mere few 'for sale' postings.

purposes.
