I have a question which hopefully someone can answer.. I want to put an Apple SCSI card in my apple /// (so I can use a scsi drive on it. I would end up writing my own driver, but...) The problem is that the scsi card is longer than the space inside the apple /// case (apple /// slots and apple // slots have the same pinouts, so that is not a problem). I thought a solution would be to basically use some ribbon cable, and make an extender (under 6") so that the card sits outside the computer (now I don't need to care how big it is). But I'm curious as to the possible problems with line noise and so forth on that 6" extension. I've seen to have heard about other people doing this on apple //'s so that they can swap cards in and out easily.
