How does one transfer a copy of Bird's Better Bye from one version of ProDOS 8 to another (I have ProDOS 1.1.1 with the Bird Better BYE, but not ProDOS 1.8) If you have a program that does this, please BINSCII it. What I ended up doing was converting Prodos 8 V1.4 with BBB on it to a text file using BINSCII and converting Prodos 8 V1.7 with no BBB on it also to text. I then used an editor on my mainframe to cut the end part with BBB onto the V1.7, I then unconverted the new version and much to my surprise - it worked! Binscii gave me an error on the unconversion because it knew the file was changed, but it worked!
