| The No-Slot-Clock is not compatible with ModemWorks; thus, it will not work

| information to the input buffer when the time is asked for. More spefically,
| the problem is with the day-of-week and seconds not being returned in the
| proper ASCII format. It *does* work with ProDOS, although it does not follow
| the specification exactly, and because of this could not be supported under
| ModemWorks.

| I'd avoid it if possible. If you're really pressed for slot space, I'd
| suggest getting a multi-function card (AE has one) that would allow you to
| combine a serial card and clock. The No-Slot-Clock requires every version
| of ProDOS you use to be patched, which is fine if you have a hard drive, but
| gets to be a bit of a pain if you're restricted to floppies.

According to the ProDOS Technical Ref. Manaul, p. 106:

To support clock cards that do not follow the ProDOS protocol defined
	above...

All that your code needs to do is get the time from the clock card,
convert it to the ProDOS format, and store it in the date and
time locations in the global page.

I have the AE Serial Pro (the serial card + clock). The card conflicts
with my Saturn 128K memory card and renders the Apple unusable if the
Saturn and Serial Pro are in the same computer. It also does NOT follow
the standard alluded to by Mr. Owen (the one listed in the Tech Ref on
p. 105).

I have also found that there is not one location (that I can find)
to put my newly acquired NSC in my Apple II+. Either my peripheral
cards have no ROM, or have 24-pin ROMs, or there is no space for the
over-sized NSC. The NSC requires a 28-pin ROM to operate properly.

As a result of these shenanigans, both my Serial Pro and NSC are OUT
of my computer. <SIGH>.
