Michael Owen was correct in stating that ModemWorks, a communications toolkit
for Applesoft that I've designed, did not fetch time information from the
No-Slot Clock (Apricorn ClockPro, IIc Ultra-RAM, and other similar chip-based
clocks). Recently, however, I have improved the program so that it now will
return all the time information it has access to based on the clock in your
computer.

With a IIGS or 100% ProDOS-compatible (see ProDOS Tech Note #1) clock card,
the &TIME command returns day of week, date, month, year, hours, minutes and
seconds -- the whole thing. With other clock systems, the day of week and
seconds are returned as "???" and "00" respectively.

ProLine, a networked BBS and conferencing system I've created, now can work on
systems that use the chip-based clocks.
