I've got a CMC hard drive and my wonderful Apple //GS (yeah, I'm a die hard apple user). Unfortunately, GS/OS crashes big time whenever I try to use the new and incredible GS/OS 4 or 5. I need some help. Someone on another bboard said that there was some kind of system.setup file to correct the problem, but he wasn't sure, and said to post about it here. Rick Ewing at Apple said that it's not the driver, but interrupts. Anyone got any suggestions? -Greg T.

No, I said that GS/OS is somehow not making a "generic" ProDOS driver when it sees your card, not that it was having an interrupt problem. The card does need its own driver...either that or you need a new card or card ROMs. Only CMS can help you with that. dd __________________________________________________________________________ |Disclaimer: Segmentation Fault: Core Dumped. | | | |Internet: REWING@APPLE.COM-----------------------Rick Ewing | |ApplelinkPE & MacNet Soon!------------------Apple Computer, Inc. | |Applelink: EWING--------------------100 Ashford Center North, Suite 100 | |Compu$erve: [76474,1732]--------------------Atlanta, GA 30338 | |GENIE: R.EWING1--------------------------TalkNet: (404) 393-9358 | |USENET: {amdahl, decwrl, sun, unisoft}!apple!rewing | ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
