[comp.sys.apple] Track 00, Sector 0A Bombing

avery@well.UUCP (Avery Ray Colter) (09/02/89)

Once in a while, this key sector goes out, and all the perfectly intact
data on the disk ceases to be associated with any file names, because
the ProDOS eats shit and dies.

I know from somewhere in my murky past that there are machine language
routines for directly reading sectors. I would like to know what these
are, so I can construct some little routine to just dump track 1 through
22 as text to the screen or printer when this track 0 sector A problem
happens.

Please E-mail, anyone who knows.

         Awaiting the beloved RTFM flames....

              Th' Cellulite-Surfer
