[comp.sys.apple] Super Serial Card's COMMAND register...

Robert_L_Heiser@cup.portal.com (09/05/89)

Hi...

I'm having a large problem interpreting Apple's documentation for the
COMMAND register of the SSC ($C08A). Especially the low nibble. The only
documentation on setting the interrupts is on page 54, and it says next
to nothing about them. If anyone can guide me to the correct explanation
of this register, I'd be very happy.

A little background on my problem: I have written a driver for a BBS, and
found out that at certain times when I lose carrier, instead of behaving
properly and going to the right line number, TRACE gets turned on, and ProDOS
gets disconnected. I have narrowed it down to a problem with the DTR. Now I
just have to find out WHAT this problem is. (I'm using an Apple 2e, enhanced,
with a Hayes compatible modem -- AT&T 4024). So...anyone out there that can
help me out? Thanks...

Rob
