The school where my wife works is really out-of-date and is still using AppleWorks 1.n. We use 2.1 at home (3.0 just arrived yesterday but I haven't had time to even boot it up yet). One of the teachers at school told her that there were problems in "transferring" files between 2.1 and 1.n (and vice versa). They claimed, for example, that if you created a file using one version, you would have problems printing it under the other version. I am aware that if you use any of the new features in 3.0 (e.g., multi-line headers/footers, new spreadsheet functions, etc.), then you cannot read the file with a pre-3.0 version. But I do not recall hearing of any compatibility problems between versions 1 and 2. Is anyone aware of any? ==================================================================== J.
