[comp.sys.apple] Where can I get a deal on a GS?

   My IIe is off to college with my son leaving my daughter (7th grade) and I
without an Apple.  So, we decided to but a GS.  It appears I can but a GS
from Apple, on its educational discount program, for about $1,650 - a new ROM 3
GS with 1 M, one 3.5 and one 5.25 drive and RGB monitor.  Is this the best deal
available?  Is this a recommended configuration (money IS a problem)?

   All comments/suggestions as to configuration and/or sources would be
appreciated.
