My son got for his birthday today Test Drive II, the supercars disk and the California Challenge disk. The game is very impressive. Well after playing with it all afternoon, his arm became tired from all the disk swapping. We decided to follow the instruction on creating a "Play Disk" on the hard drive. After about 15-20 minutes of installng everything we went to the step of actually running the program from the hard disk. Well it appears you really can't. If I read the instructions properly, I need to do the following: 1) Boot my system from the hard drive. 2) Double click on the TestDRiveII volume icon (the master diskette). 3) Double click on the PRODOS file and wait ( TWO AND ONE HALF MINUTES ) for the program to load. 4) I then have to goto to the install menu. 5) and even though the PlayDisk Field is set to my Hard disk folder (/MAIN/DUEL), I need to re-enter this path name, before the program will run from the hard disk. This whole process takes well over three minutes BEFORE I SELECT A CAR OR SCENARY. Are we doing anything wrong or is this an example of Accolade INSULTING our intelligence? If all is correct, they are begging to have their copy protection cracked! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
