[comp.sys.apple] Ehanced IIe question

chines@pro-europa.cts.com (Clifford Hines) (09/20/89)

My IIe had to have a motherboard replaced recently and I noticed that I am
back to the old unhanced IIe for now. What are the better Apple II Mail order
places around that carry the Apple II ehancement kits?
Thanks
Cliff

If you still have the original ROMS that were on your old motherboard before
it was enhanced, it seems that the repair shop should swap the the original
ROMS for the ones that enhanced your motherboard. After all the enhanced ROMS
are not a part of the normal board, so they should not have been taken (or
accepted). This is my opinion only, OF COURSE.

I agree, but don't forget your 65C02 (hey, you paid for it when you got
the Enhanced //e!)

The list of chips is:
1 65C02
2 Video ROM = Character Generator ROM
3 CD ROM = Firmware addresses $C000-$DFFF
4 EF ROM = Firmware addresses $E000-$FFFF
