We just installed System 5.0 on our GS. To our dismay a device driver that we had written in MPW C, that worked under system 4.0 has stopped working. The symptom is that the only device that appears in the device table is our second DIB. It seems to ignore our first DIB, and skips over all the rest. From looking at other Device drivers we noticed that they are now using the expressload format. Unfortunately all the documentation that we have does not describe any changes to device drivers. So I am hoping that somebody can help me. Is there new version of the GS tools for system 5.0 for MPW? If so where can I get them the fastest? (Note I am in Canada) (I would appreciate it very much if you could e-mail them to me) As I have to get this project done within 2 weeks. Has the documentation on CDEV's been published yet?
