I too got a chance to see "The Brother from Another Planet".
Personally, I enjoyed the movie very much. I was amazed at the
amount of symbolism the writer was able to incorporate into the
movie. I didn't think that the movie was intended to be a comedy,
although there certainly were some very humorous scenes.
As for the ending, two thoughts came to me immediately. 1)Oppresion
will only be tolerated so long before the oppressed rise up and
revolt. 2)I thought that the last scene on the subway symbolized the
"Underground Railroad", but I'm only guessing.
I strongly encourage everyone to catch this one. It's a very unusual
and touching film.

An altogether excellent film. I think the bounty hunters stole the show. In the ending, I had the impression that when "Brother" killed the Bank President, the people who worked for him were then free and could stand up to the bounty hunters even though Brother could not.
